Learning Styles

There are four learning styles based on different ways students perceive information. For some, it is easier to visualize information, for others, it is all about reading.

The VARK model stands for:

• Visual Learning: Visual learners in our school like to observe and see the things that they are learning learning about. they like to use pictures, diagrams and written directions to access information.
• Auditory Learning: Auditory learners in our class learn best by listening and relating information to sounds. They prefer listening to lectures or recordings and think out loud.
• Reading / Writing Learning: Reading / writing learners like to learn using written words. They like to express themselves by writing. They enjoy reading articles or writing diaries or journals.
• Kinesthetic Learning: Kinesthetic learners learn by experiencing and doing, they like to use their hands and bodies as learning instruments. they may seem wiggly at classroom.

Divisibility By 7 and 11

Divisibility By 7 and 11

Any number can be written in the form of 10x+y, where y is the unit digit and x is the remaining part.

Example: 3221=322×10+1                             x=322 and y=1

                  32479=3247×10+9                        x=3247 and y=9

Divisibility by 11:

If 10x+y is divisible by 11, then -10x-y is divisible by 11

And if 11x is divisible by 11, then their sum 11x+(-10x-y)=x-y is divisible by 11

Example: 1089: x=108 and y=9                   x-y=108-9=99 is divisible by 11 then 1089 is divisible by 11

Example: 722238: x=72223 and y=8         x-y=72223-8=72215

                     72215: x=7221 and y-5                x-y=7221-5=7216

                     7216: x=721 and y=6                   x-y=721-6=715

                     715: x=71 and y=5                        x-y=71-5=66

66 is divisible by 11 then 722238 is divisible by11

Divisibility by 7:

If 10x+y is divisible by 7 then -10x-y is divisible by 7 and 7x+7y is divisible by 7, then their sum is divisible by 7

-10x-y+7x+7y is divisible by 7

-3x+6y is divisible by 7

-3(x-2y) is divisible by 7

-3 is not divisible by 7 so x-2y is divisible by 7

Example:14924: x=1492 and y=4                               x-2y=1492-8=1484

                    1484: x=148 and y=4                                   x-2y=148-8=140

                    140: x=14 and y=0                                        x-2y=14-0=14

14 is divisible by 7, then 14924 is divisible by 7

 

               

                                             My Philosophy of Education

 

My philosophy of education is that the classroom should be a caring, safe and lovely place where students can speak what is in their minds and grow in a safe community. I will use my strategies to make my classroom a lovely place, where students can live and grow safe.

Education is a continuous lifelong process. There are different aims of education

such as social, cultural, moral, etc. Education can make the student a productive member in life. By education, a child becomes civilized and cultured by respecting other cultures. Education builds up the character of an individual.

There are different methods of education. One of them where the teacher is the center of education in which the teacher gives the information and the students listen. Another one is the learner- centered method, where the teacher is both a teacher and a learner at the same time. The best method is the interactive method, where there is an interactive between the teacher and the learner, the learner in this method discovers the information by himself.

The word curriculum refers to the lessons content taught in school for specific courses or programs. In my opinion the teacher defines or puts the curriculum according to her class and the learners in her class. She knows what the important lessons her learners should know to give them.

An effective learning environment needs a strong teacher that could make their learners productive. A teacher’s purpose should not be to create students in his image, it should develop students who can create their image. So the role of the teacher is to have some classroom management that creates a productive environment in the class. Whereas the student's role is to be inquisitive, to be an active participant, to contribute to class culture. 

I wish and I would like to be an effective teacher that makes her students a productive member of their educational community.

Things Students Should be Taught To Avoid Problems

 It's our responsibility as a teachers to make sure students know how to use online applications in a good way to help them in their learning journey.

The most important things students should be taught to avoid problem during learning online are:

• Teach them how to use the programs that we are going to work with.
• Teach students to keep their personal information secured.
• Teach students how to download google drive files and backup important files and emails.
• Teach them how to use emails.

Things To Do Now That We Were Not Able To Do A Year Ago

 
Starting a new school year is always full of motions and especially during a pandemic. 

students are very happy to return to school, since distance learning was hard and working with computers caused pain for eye and fingers.

last year, we couldn't meet our lovely students because of COVID 19, but till now, we are teaching face to face and taking all the chances of every minute to teach and let them understand well because we don't know at which moment we return to online teaching.

Them most important thing I'm doing this year and I'm weren't able to do last year was teaching them face to face, even we are wearing masks all the time and we weren't able to hug each other but still teaching them at school is the best.

My online experience is changes to the best, I 'm able at any time to teach my students online in any case, I've worked on many programs that help me teach them and motivate them better than the last year. 

Challenges Faced While Teaching/ Learning Online

 Corona virus, something that is totally out of our control, forced educators to teach their students from home. Both, teachers and administrators, are searching for new tools to face the challenges they haven't faced before. 

Teachers aren't seeing the faces of boredom in their students while teaching online, but maybe some one left the microphone opened and commented on teachers style, or maybe students are playing their games while taking the online class that the teacher is carefully prepared it. Some of the challenges that the teacher might encounter while teaching online are:

1. Motivated students: It is not an easy task to keep students engaged and motivated in online class. Teacher should be creative and implement elements of video games and let them enjoy their learning experience. 
2. Keeping track of their progress: Create open conversation with each individual participant in class, and talk to them about their feelings, academic progress, and their goals. Create a relationship with them, know who they are and what they are expecting from you. 
3. Students interacting with each others: The only way in which teamwork ability will be developed and strengthened is to have students interact with each others and work together.

How To Be A Digital Citizen

Nowadays, internet has become a part of our daily lives. We use internet for many things: research, learning, connecting with family and friends, shopping, etc... 

 

We have responsibility to educate young internet users on how to create a safe online spaces. some tips to teach how to be a good "digital citizen" are:

 - Encourage critical thinking skills: teach students to think about what they do and how they interact with others online.

- Always be nice and encourage others to be nice too: students need to practice treating each other with the same respect online as they do in person. we should remind them to think twice before posting or saying anything online.

- Monitoring the net effect of your activity online.

- Protecting someone from cyberbullying or protecting accounts info with secure passwords.

 - Citing the source of the original source of the information.

- Supporting others by offering useful feedback, encouraging them, or sharing work they're proud of, etc... 

Tools Can Be Used In Online Assessment

         Online teaching is a method or process of educating others using the internet. to test the knowledge or learning of the learners or to identify their strength and weaknesses we need an assessment tools. Some of wide assessment tools are:

1. 
   GOOGLE FORMS: The most easiest application to use is google form because it's quick and simple to create an automatically grade quizzes. Teachers can create multiple- choice quizzes or short- answer quizzes or make an easy answer key for each question.
   
2. 
   MENTIMETER: Teachers can create listening skills assessments, icebreaker, create quizzes and tests, manage student expectations and engage students in classroom. Mentimeter gives everyone a voice.
   
3. 
   POLL EVERYWHERE: With Poll Everywhere, teachers could make quizzes and take attendance. it integrates with google applications like google slides. Teachers can get real- time feedback in their question slides without calling on specific individual.

        These tools allow for easy quiz creation. they allow flexibility for written                     questions and provide key features like instant grading.

Integrating Technology Into Teaching

    

    Nowadays, the traditional teaching model is simply less effective than before. teachers are developing lesson plans that may or may not be delivering to the students, so technology come to fix this problem by integrating it to classroom.

    Integrating technology into lesson plans can ensure a more interactive class. technology can form new bonds between students and the teacher. Technology helps to change the role of the teacher and the student, so the students take the responsibility for their learning out comes while the teacher become a guides and facilitator for the students.

    Gaming is a part of technology, at the same time it takes a huge part of the students lives. so it is a great idea to integrate gaming in the classroom. In one hand it makes a challenge between students and in the other hand the idea or the lesson will be delivered.

    Social media, also takes a lot time from students time, so integrating social media in their learning domain could help the teacher a lot since they are spend their time on social media and learning at the same time.

The course EDUC561 is referred to Integrating Educational Technology Into Learning with Dr. Amal Farhat. Integration of technology in education means how to use technology to enhance the student learning experience. 

In this course we are learning the benefits of technology and how to apply technology in online classes and also in normal school class. we are learning how to keep students engaged, how to help students with different learning styles, and how to prepare students with life skills.

The best parts of the class is that the Dr. introduce an application to use it in class and we directly apply it with each others to practice it well and be able to apply our classroom activities on it.
